Membership Rules & Policies
GENERAL INFORMATION
GOOD CONDUCT AND LANGUAGE
- is requested at all times within our coed facility. Obscene language or
sexual innuendoes or harassment are not allowed and are cause for member
removal. Members wearing clothing with obscene phrases will be asked to
change or leave.
TOWELS ARE REQUIRED
- of all guests and
members for purposes of hygiene and protection of equipment. Towels must be
a minimum measurement of 12”x 24”. If you forget to bring a properly sized
towel, you may rent one for a small fee at the check-in desk. Towel sharing
is not permitted.
PROPER FOOTWEAR
- appropriate to each
“interest area”. Athletic grade (closed-toe) footwear is required in all
areas of the club. Bare feet and swim shoes are allowed in the pool area
but not in weight or cardio rooms, even if not using the equipment. Please
remove sand from bottom of footwear before entering facility.
CLUB PROPERTY
- do not remove from the club without authorization. This includes weights,
dumbbells, soap, paper products, jump ropes, etc.
BULLETIN BOARDS
- located in the lobby
is available for Official Club News, Personal Notices, and for Aerobic, Pool
and Weight-Cardio news. Check specific boards for their rules.
CHILD CENTER REGULATIONS
- Parent(s)
are required to sign in each visit and must remain in the facility at all
times. The maximum time limit is 1.5 hours and the age limit is 8 weeks to
12 years. Infants are required to be in infant seats. Only labeled covered
drink containers are allowed. No meals may be brought in. Parents of
disruptive or ill children will be paged for assistance or child’s removal.
LOCKER ROOMS
- Locker room areas are cleaned daily, but your assistance is welcome in
keeping the area tidy. Lockers are free for your use; your personal lock
must be removed by end of day. Please towel off and do not enter dry areas
dripping wet.
POOL, SPA, STEAM & SAUNA
POOL -
maximum capacity is 60, with 35 maximum in a class and a time limit of 30
minutes for lap swimming when others waiting. Swimmers get priority over
walkers for lane usage. Swimmers may share a lane if both agree. One lane
remains open at all times. The aquatic instructor decides when lanes can be
opened or closed.
SHOWERS - are
REQUIRED before entering the pool or spa including if entering after
steam, sauna or spa use. Remove all cosmetics, lotions, perfumes and
deodorants before entering the pool or spa.
CLOSED FOR SAFETY & HEALTH
- The wet area will close during all electrical storms and will reopen at
the discretion of the General Manager. For health reasons, do not use the
pool or spa if you have open sores or rashes.
PROPER APPAREL
- street wear, minimal
coverage bikinis, or thongs are not permitted in the pool area. This is a
coed facility. Bathing suits are required at all times. Towels are
required (beneath you) in the sauna and in all other areas for drying off
before leaving wet area.
AEROBIC AREA
TOWELS OR MATS
- are required for all
classes.
CLOSED SHOES
- are not required for yoga and Pilates- type classes.
WAIT - for
the current class to finish before entering the aerobic room.
CELL PHONES and PAGERS
- must be turned off.
MUSIC TEMPO -
the maximum permitted beats per minute (bpm) is 128 which is a standard
established by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. Do not
request the instructor to speed the music faster.
WEIGHT & CARDIO AREAS
RACK YOUR WEIGHTS
- and dumbbells after
you have finished.
TOWELS ARE REQUIRED
- to wipe down padded
seats and backs immediately after use. Paper towels and disinfectant are
available for cleaning cardio equipment.
GYM BAGS -
are prohibited in the weight and cardio areas; lockers are provided in the
locker rooms.
ALLOW OTHERS TO WORK THROUGH
- sets if you are doing
numerous sets on specific weight equipment.
30-MINUTE RULE
–(if active) wait list on sign-up board, limit is 30 minutes on cardio
equipment. Be courteous and when possible allow access to cardio equipment
with television for those wishing to watch
